Eight Printing Co., Ltd. specializes in the planning, design and printing of commercial materials. The company is well-equipped with high-end technology and well-seasoned sales staff. Yoshitaka Iida, manager of the company's Tokiwadai Plant, says "When you're after the high-precision printing, leave it to us. We can handle anything whether Taffeta, Staccato or Core Screen." Iida talked to us about their favorite blanket.
Press: Roland 700 (three machines)
Blanket: S-PRIA Blue
Prior to S-PRIA, we used three types of blankets - one made by Sumitomo and two made by other companies - which we alternated according to the job. After evaluating several blankets over a long period, we've come to the conclusion that S-PRIA is the best fit for us.
Our feedback was very positive with their good durability. Moreover, the dot reproduction is better than other manufacturers' blankets. This is true not only of S-PRIA but also of Sumitomo's traditional blankets. We have chosen S-PRIA as they bring many benefits.
Blankets of Japanese manufacturer were fine with the dot shape, but needed more durability. With foreign blankets, it was the opposite. S-PRIA managed to improve durability without sacrificing the print quality. Which means you can improve your productivity by reducing the blanket consumption and the press down time.
We look for a blanket that can accommodate our request in a variety of different applications. I believe a product can get better and better, only by providing a product that accurately meets the user's needs. Now that there is almost no difference between blanket makers' technology, what people expect is that the makers remain aware of what the users are looking for and improve the blankets accordingly. In that sense, I look forward to even greater durability in S-PRIA.
